MOVE

When the wii came out, I was like what's the big deal. The graphics suck. I always preferred Playstation over any other console (excluding super nintendo). I have tried the wii and I did enjoy it, however, it gets old fast. Combine the fun factor/interactive component of the wii with the graphics and amazing games made for the ps3. I think this is innovative even though wii did it first, I predict sony will do it much better.

"The combination of the PS3 system and PlayStation Eye camera detects the precise movement, angle, and absolute position in 3D space of PlayStation Move motion controller, allowing users to intuitively play the game as if they themselves are within the game. PlayStation Move motion controller delivers unmatched accuracy through its advanced motion sensors, including a three-axis gyroscope, a three-axis accelerometer, and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor, as well as a color-changing sphere that is tracked by PlayStation Eye camera. Through PlayStation Move system, both fast and subtle motion can be detected, whether the user is swinging a tennis racket, or painting with a brush. With PlayStation Move motion controller, users can provide direct input through action buttons and an analog trigger, while receiving physical feedback from rumble functionality and visual feedback from the sphere’s ability to display a variety of different colors. Furthermore, PlayStation Eye camera can capture the player’s voice or image, enabling augmented reality experiences.

The newly announced PlayStation Move sub-controller is a one-handed controller, developed to further expand the game play options that PlayStation Move games can offer*2. PlayStation Move sub-controller features a sleek curved design that pairs with the motion controller and comes with an analog stick and directional buttons that allow users to easily control the game when moving characters or choosing a direction. Like all other Wireless Controllers for the PS3 system, it comes with a built in lithium-ion rechargeable battery as well as Bluetooth® technology, enabling the controller to transfer the input information wirelessly to the PS3 system without a cable. PlayStation Move motion controller and sub-controller will further broaden the gaming experience on the PS3 system for all genres, from games that use one motion controller to games that use both controllers."

AND!

GOD OF WAR 3 IS OUT TODAY

But I'm not buying it until the semester is over.

The Office

When I think of an office, this is what I think of.

Now, imagine in the future every office looks like this. An Atmosphere has a huge psychological impact on a person. I think of it as comparable to seasonal depression. If its cold and dark all the time for a long period of time, its going to affect you sooner or later. If all offices were like this the mood and the production would significantly improve.

In 1984, Vodafone was a tiny UK startup. Today, it is one of the world’s leading mobile telecommunications companies with activities around the globe. Vodafone’s well publicized Portuguese headquarters is located on Avenida da Boavista in Porto (Oporto), the namesake of Port wine and Portugal’s second global city after Lisbon. The super modern building was designed by architects José António Barbosa and Pedro Guimarães of Barbosa Guimarães Arquitectos.

DAFT PUNK

This is a really cool picture of Daft Punk created by Giamluca Fallone. Gianluca Fallone is a designer/illustrator from Argentina, currently based in London. At only 23 years old, he has managed to build up an impressive folio that includes work with clients such as MTV, Nike and Cartoon Network.

The reason I like it is because the average person would be drawn to it because of the colourful glowing edges. At first glance it looks like the transformers autobot but if you are familiar with Daft Punk, when you finally notice its Daft Punk its kinda cool.

VITAMIN WATER

Consumers have the chance to redesign vitamin water labels and also choose a new flavour. They say you should never judge a book by it's cover but its okay to judge a drink by its label..right? Well I admit to buying things just for its well designed labels, and even though I actually like the drink I do buy it because in that huge fridge of ugly designed bottles...vitamin water does stand out. The type is clean and crisp, the colours are minimal. In this case, these bottles are redesigned by thecoolhunter and add a little more colour to the original bottle in the kaelidescope effect.
Cheers!

Although this may seem like an acid trip, I think the colours clash in a good way. Its unique, and the patterns could inspire some fashion items. It's interesting to see which parts of the body are isolated either in flesh or illustration. I wonder why she chose to isolate the parts that she did. My favourite piece is the second last picture because the direction of the stripes lead you to the pink high heels at the bottom.

FAN

Epik High is a South Korean indie hip hop group from Seoul, South Korea. The group is composed of Tablo, Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz.

The video is called Fan and was released in 2007. This is song was made, according to Epik High for their fans but most importantly for anyone who has ever felt the pain of obsession. I do have very passionate interests but I don't have any sort of psychotic obsession. I've always been drawn to any a
rtistic depiction of obsession.

The first time I accidentally stumbled upon this video I was instantly hooked. My obsession grew with each passing day. I was in love. I fell in love with Korean Hip Hop because it was such a drastic change from mainstream North American Hip Hop. It was like a breath of fresh air. The songs were t
houghtfully written, the beats were carefully created and the verses were passionately delivered. Although my understanding of the language has grown since then, you don't have to understand the language to know what the video is about. The message is so strong. Emotions are universal. Its so human, so real.

I would just like to add that Tablo (the lead english speaking MC of the group) is an amazing writer and a huge inspiration. Tablo graduated from Stanford University with a masters d
egree in English Literature and wrote a novel in english entitled pieces of you (which I have and is really good).

Epik High established their independent label in 2009 and since then they have been enjoying 100% musical freedom from the control freak music industry and have paved the way for many underground artists seeking shine. Their website also features their map the soul clothing line called iced.

Their latest album is called Epilogue and this is their poster promoting their first single off the album, run.

PAPARAZZI

This is definitely one of the coolest ads I've ever seen. Nikon took its inspiration from our celebrity-obsessed paparazzi culture to launch the brand's D700 model in Korea.

At a busy Seoul subway station, Nikon mounted a huge interactive, light-box billboard displaying life-like images of paparazzi. The "celebrities" in this case were the passersby, who automatically triggered a ton of flashing camera lights as they walked past the billboard. The red carpet leads through the subway hall and into a mall where there is a store located where you can purchase the Nikon D700.
